  • Founders: Name, email address, phone number, professional background, and identification documents.

  • Investors: Name, email address, phone number, investment preferences, and institutional affiliation (e.g., Family Office, VC).

 

1.2. Business and Financial Data

  • Founders: Company details, pitch decks, financial projections, fundraising history, and business plans.

  • Investors: Investment criteria, past investment history (where provided), and proof of investor status.

 

1.3. Automatically Collected Data

  •  IP address, browser type, operating system, and usage patterns on our Platform are collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

 

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • AI-Powered Matching: To facilitate connections between Founders and Investors using our proprietary matching algorithms.

  • Automated Decision-Making: We use automated systems to match profiles. However, final decisions to connect or invest are made solely by Users. You have the right to request human intervention or contest any automated matching result that significantly affects you.

  • Service Delivery: To create and maintain your account, process payments via Stripe, and provide customer support.

  • Communication: To send you platform updates, networking opportunities, and marketing communications (where opted-in).

  • Improvement: To analyze usage data and feedback to improve our AI matching accuracy and platform features.

  • Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and "know your customer" (KYC) requirements.

3. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Between Users: We share relevant profile data between Founders and Investors to facilitate potential matches. Founders' pitch decks and sensitive financial data are only shared with Investors upon mutual interest or explicit consent.

  • Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who perform services for us, such as Stripe (payment processing) and cloud hosting providers.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

  • Corporate Transition and Associates: As Master Collective transitions from YouYaa FZCO (DSO) to a DIFC-based entity, your data will be transferred to the new entity. This transfer may also involve sharing data with our affiliates, strategic advisors, and partners ("Associates") who are bound by similar confidentiality and data protection obligations. This ensures continuity of service and advisory support during the transition.

 

4. DATA SECURITY

4.1. We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. This includes encryption of sensitive financial data and pitch decks.

 

4.2. User Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Master Collective and its Associates shall not be liable for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your login information.

 

5. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements (including the 24-month reporting obligation specified in our Terms & Conditions).

 

6. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the DIFC), you may have the following rights:

  • Access: The right to request copies of your personal data.

  • Rectification: The right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.

  • Erasure: The right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • Data Portability: The right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization.

  • Withdrawal of Consent: The right to withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent to process your personal data.

 

7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state or country, where the data protection laws may differ. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of information to the UAE and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
